President, ClearPeak Financial Corporation
Growing up in a household of financial planners, the industry was instilled upon me at a young age. I realized that sooner or later, most people find themselves in the middle of something they predicted but didn’t plan for (like taking control of your aging parent’s finances) and sometimes you get thrown a complete curveball (like losing your job or getting diagnosed with cancer). I get it. However, you don’t have to go it alone. A solid financial plan can help you prepare for these life events and bring added confidence to each and every one of your days.
I love meeting new people and learning about their lives and their businesses. The role of an advisor is much more than constructing a portfolio or placing an insurance policy. The true value I provide is really being there for clients, whether it is a sounding board for ideas, a shoulder to cry on or just an outlet to vent frustrations to. I strive to be by my clients’ side every step of the way, building relationships that last a lifetime.
Licensed in 2005, I graduated from the University of Calgary in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in Economics with Distinction. I have obtained the Certified Health Insurance Specialist (CHS), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Registered Retirement Consultant (RRC), and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designations. In 2015, I received the Leslie W Dunstall Memorial Award for the highest mark in the province for my CLU studies.
I have been playing guitar and singing from a young age. As a true Canadian, I love winter sports like snowboarding, snowmobiling, and hockey, and I like to fill my summers with camping, golf, and fishing. I have recently taken up boxing, which I thoroughly enjoy as a great way to have fun and stay in shape. However, as a husband and father of two – nothing beats spending time with my family.
